For almost 50 years, the Reinhold Mendritzki cold rolling mill in Plettenberg has been producing cold-rolled strip steel. The company is the core and largest subsidiary of the Mendritzki Group, which today employs over 1,000 people at 8 locations and generates more than €250 million in revenue.

Core competencies

80% of the products supplied by the Reinhold Mendritzki cold rolling mill go to the automotive and automotive supplier industries. In our strip steel manufacturing, we regularly develop innovative new products in close cooperation with our customers. Each order is overseen by our employees from the quality, planning, and production departments to precisely meet the individual requirements for the strip steel. Manufacturing takes into account customer-specific surface requirements, the often tightly defined mechanical and technological properties, and the limited dimensional tolerances, often far below the standard.

At our plant in Schmalkalden, we manufacture high-tech cutting tools of the brands MWS and MTV for use in agriculture, forestry and municipal engineering as well as in the tire and recycling industries.

Cutting tools

Our MWS and MTV product brands are used worldwide as premium cutting tools. For knife production, we focus on expanding and strengthening our locations in Germany and sourcing resources primarily from regional suppliers. This reflects our commitment to quality and sustainability. Our cutting tools represent the highest and most durable quality in knives and blades. Our modern machinery includes milling and grinding machines for producing knives up to 6 meters long.

Maximum efficiency

We perform a wide range of coating processes in-house, achieving layer thicknesses from 0.2 to 10 mm; on automated systems, we coat parts up to 6000 mm in length. We significantly increase the service life of our products by welding on wear-resistant hard coatings. Heat treatments in our own hardening shop allow us to adapt quickly and flexibly to any changes in the manufacturing process.
